Can you identify the main character and what makes this person engaging?

"I think that the main character is the boy who takes the drugs, and I think that what makes this character engaging is that he feels as if he were a real person, so it will allow people to relate more to him"

Discrete analysis

The interviewee believed that the boy taking the drugs is the main character, which is correct, furthermore they believed that what made him engaging as a character is that he is relatable.

Conclusions

What I was trying to find out by asking this question was what people thought of the main character and if it was clear that he was the main character. The interviewee showed in their answer that it was clear and that they could identify him as the lead character.

Action statement

I have decided to try and represent my main character as much of a genuine person as possible as I believe that when the audience watches something like a short film they want to be able to relate to the characters there seeing on screen, since this will most likely be able to portray a more powerful character it will fit in well with a drama.
